September E-News, Leaping into October

With the crisp fall nights, color-changing leaves, and Halloween right around the bend, October is an exciting month for Butler County! There are so many family-friendly, couple-oriented, and kid-happening events; you won’t know which to choose from!

Celebrate cultural diversity and awareness at Middletown’s Middfest
International on October 1 through 3! Each year this festival showcases a different country through a wide range of programs in the arts and culture. This year’s featured country is Botswana and there will be live entertainment, art exhibits, food, lectures, movies, sports, children’s programs, and much more!

If
“It’s the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown” was your one of your holiday favorites, then you won’t want to miss the Great Pumpkin Fest in West Chester on October 9 in Keehner Park! This fall event will feature a costume contest, children’s not-so-scary haunted trail, a pumpkin patch, horse and wagon rides, petting zoo, inflatable rides, and more!

Let the terrors of Halloween begin at Middletown’s Land of Illusion Haunted Theme Park open September 10 through October 31! Test your bravery through the Haunted Trail, Dr. Psycho’s Estate, the Temple of Terror, the 3-D Killer Clowns, and the Voodoo
Bayou Shanty! Will you make it out alive?
