July E-News, Fun Takes Flight this July

Summer weather calls for outdoor summery events! Butler County is home to fun family events, specialized enthusiast/hobby events, and historic celebration events! There’s everything from hot air balloon rides to antique car shows happening this month!

Where can you see a flying Purple People Eater, flying creatures, and giant geometric print balloons? You can see all this and more at one of Butler County's biggest, most exciting summer events: the 8th Annual MidFirst Ohio Challenge Hot Air Balloon Festival in Middletown’s Smith Park July 16-18! This festival features over 40 hot air balloons, the professional skydiving Team Fastrax, the best regional music, a classic car show, arts and crafts, festival food, hot air balloon rides, balloon glows, and so much more!

Antique car enthusiasts will be in heaven with two huge car shows happening in Butler County this July! The British Car Club Car Show will be held in Harbin Park on July 18 and will celebrate the 40th anniversary of the Range Rover. You and your family can enjoy food, music, valve cover racing, and fun summer activities at this event! You can also get your fix of antique cars at the 56th Annual Antique and Classic Car Parade being held on July 24 in Hamilton and Fairfield. Feast your eyes on over 300 cars at this festive parade, along with the featured car of the event: the Cadillac.

The charming college town of Oxford is celebrating its Bicentennial this year! Celebrate with them at the July 3 Bicentennial Celebration Parade starting at Uptown Parks! Families and business are encouraged to participate in this spirited event. Pet owners and children ages 6-12 are welcome to decorate their pets and walk in the pet parade! And be sure to see the Unveiling of the Bicentennial Sculpture prior to the vintage baseball game at Oxford Community Park on July 16.
